The next UK tour took us to West Cornwall. Here we stayed not in churches but in the YMCA in Penzance and from here we gave performances in the holiday resorts of the area including one on St Michael’s Mount and a concert in St Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly. The crossing was so smooth to start with but once past Land’s End it became quite choppy and most of the band only just made it! Whilst in the area the band participated in Rod Frost’s ‘Share Jesus Mission’ in St Ives and led the singing for the Radio 4 live broadcast of the Sunday open-air service.
