Weekend format
The National Methodist Youth Brass Band (NMYBB) meets about four weekends a year. Each weekend follows a similar format, although the church (mainly but not exclusively a Methodist church) and music is different every time.
Friday
The band arrives at the host church, setting off from locations across the UK. A quick hot tasty dinner awaits members on arrival. When enough of the band arrives we have our first rehearsal. At some-point before midnight we stop rehearsing. A short devotional time in the form of an epilogue follows. The band then chat into the early hours before heading to bed – a space on the floor.
Saturday
Rehearsal – Lunch – Free time – Devotional time – Concert – Chill – optional quiet time – bed
Sunday
Help with the service – Lunch – Goodbyes
